Trafford XI

Trafford's All-time XI

752 young gentlemen have pulled on the white shirt* of Trafford Football Club in competitive fixtures**

These players have made a combined total of 20,114 appearances in 1,534 League, Cup and playoff matches over 30 seasons.***

In selecting Trafford FC's 'All-Time XI', the club has initially canvassed a dozen key figures at Trafford FC - some of whom go all the way back to 1990. Yes, they were there on day one.

These Trafford FC experts have put together a list of 34 players deemed worthy to go to the final vote amongst today's club officials and supporters. It's not been easy whittling that list of 752 down to just 34, and there will no doubt be raised eyebrows and questions about certain players who are missing - that's one of the many beauties of the beautiful game and why we love football - it's all about opinions.

So now the real competition starts - whittling the 34 down to just 11. An XI that could take to the field in Traffford white and defeat all opposition from Blyth to Corby; from Colwyn Bay to Kings Lynn... the voting will begin tomorrow (4.05.20) starting with the goalkeepers - over to you folks!

* Aside from someone who may have made a solitary appearance away at Mossley for example, and therefore only pulled on the yellow change shirt!

** This includes all league, cup & play-off games including the 2019-20 season which was eventually abandoned.

*** 29.76 seasons if we are going to be picky and take account of the 2019-20 season being abandoned.
