Christmas Curry 2013

Well, it promised to be a good night but it actually turned out to be a cracking day/night. The 40 plus people that turned out for our very first (but not last) Christmas curry all arrived in great spirits thanks to the team putting in a solid performance and claiming all 3 points.

The evening started with drinks being drunk and people starting to get the same way, with the exception of Matt Brown who was pretty much that way when he turned up haha!

After a few raffles, starters were served and polished off before some more raffling, alcohol and chit-chat was had. All the while, the Trafford buzzer game championships were taking place. With anyone who could complete the challenge through to the next round, 3 goes each permitted.

The mains were just as good as the starters and after the generous and tasty portions were finished it was on to 'Nick Brown's Play Your Cards Right'. Nick was a great host and lots of fun was had with some of his 'We asked 100 people' questions.

After the whole of the Deccan broke out in to 'Trafford FC' songs, many of us headed off to the Nags Head to watch Matt Brown's dance moves!

A great night was truly had and although I did some organising, a MASSIVE well done and thank you must go to Mel and Tim of the supporters club for making the night what it was. They arranged all the games and prizes and put in a lot of effort and time, so much appreciation to you both.

Also, thank you to all those at The Deccan for letting us take over your restaurant. Your hospitality and food was amazing.

We look forward to a great second half of the season and we'll be back next year with 'Christmas Curry 2014'!

P.S. The Trafford buzzer game championships was a closely fought competition that was eventually won by yours truly in a time of 22 seconds. I don't want to make too much of a fuss but I thought it deserved a mention ;-)
