Frustrating. That was the feeling amongst the supporters at the end of yesterdays game.
Whilst we weren't at our best, with a stronger referee and linesman (especially), Trafford would have been playing 3/4 of this match against 10 men after Payne was tripped when through on goal.
Anyway, a scrappy game ended in our 1st draw of the season against a team that has only lost once away from home all season. Shelton Payne was bright and lively in the first half and was causing Buxton (and the linesman) all kinds of problems. Overall though, Karl Vaughan chose Martyn Andrews as the TFCSC's Man of the Match.
Martyn has been quality this season (as he was last season) and fully deserved the award. Well done to Martyn and in the end we have to look at it as a good point earned by the team. Now to Tuesday (rain permitting) and another big test at home against Chorley FC.
COME ON TRAFFORD!
#TraffordFamily
Our aim is to support, promote and raise funds for Trafford Football Club. The Supporters' Club goals include: raising funds for Trafford FC; raising awareness of the Football Club in the local community; providing a ‘mouthpiece’ for the supporters; providing a ‘line of communication’ between the supporters' and the Football Club and our current project: building a new stand behind the goal at the Pennybridge Lane end. Be part of Trafford FC, be part of the supporters' club.
