Man of the Match - Blyth Spartans

What an absolutely brilliant day yesterday was! And it all started with 3 great points against Blyth.
I personally thought the Man of the Match award could have gone to any one of 3 players; Nia, Bret or Callum. In the end it was decided that Callum Jones was the worthy winner.
Callum was confident, good on the ball and constantly talking to other players around him. The future looks good with Callum in the team.

Well done to Callum and all the players and good luck in the forth coming games!

Man of the Match #1 v Matlock Town

As mentioned in previous posts, TFCSC are running our own Man of the Match award. Each home game a different member will decide their MotM. This week, Karl Vaughan had the privilege and after much deliberation, chose Rory Fallon as the very 1st TFCSC MotM!

A massive well done to Rory who put in a shift and a half as well as producing some top quality football. Whilst Rory was deservedly MotM, it must be noted that the whole team put in great performances to earn a hard fought 2-1 win against a well-organised Matlock Town.

I can definitely vouch for all TFC supporters in saying how proud we are of the players and management and can't wait for the rest of the adventure to continue.

The next home game is against FC United of Manchester, where the next TFCSC MotM will be chosen by someone more decisive (haha!).

Just to add to the previous post, as you know we entertain a Manchester United Xl on Thursday and while it is only a friendly, the club are expecting a decent attendance. Baring that in mind, anybody who is able to volunteer some time to help the match run smoothly, such as getting things in order before the game to helping on the turnstiles and/or behind the bar, then the club would be very grateful.

If you can and are willing to volunteer then please report to the club president, Dave Brown at the club house between 6.30 and 7.00pm or email melody.stephens@sky.com

Are You Ready?

PUB OLYMPICS!!!

Tuesday 16th July at the Nags Head... save the date in your diary. This is the date for the very first, annual Trafford FC Pub Olympics competition! 

There will be a supporters' club team, a team from the playing/management staff, a Trafford FC committee team and a team from our sponsors, KMD... all will compete in various games such as pool, darts and other games with the winners taking home the pride of Trafford (and possibly a prize!).

We know its a 'school night', but DO NOT let this put you off, it has the potential to be a cracking event and there will be a buffet spread put on my the good people at the Nags Head. The official time is yet to be confirmed but 7.30 will be a good time to get there (i'll update if this changes). The Nags Head have kindly said we can have sole access to the vault and pool will be free. 

There will also be raffles, football cards and other bits and bobs... so come on down and support Trafford FC supporters' club in our mission of showing Trafford FC just who is No.1!

Membership Meeting

Thank you to all that came to our inaugural Trafford FC Supporters' Club meeting. We had some great ideas about moving forward and the response from everyone who turned up was very positive.

All new members will receive their membership cards at the next meeting. If anyone else wants to join then please contact the supporters' club via email: traffordfcsc@gmail.com or print off the application form, fill it and hand it to any off the supporters club committee members.

We also held a quiz, which proved to be rather challenging for my alcohol induced brain but much fun was had and a massive thank you to Tim for being an excellent quiz master, although I'm saying nothing about the fact his wife was on the winning team (ahem!). 

We have penciled in our next event, which will be a 'Pub Olympics'. Details will be confirmed ASAP.

Enrolement Evening and Quiz Night

On Friday 21st June we are having our first supporters' club meeting at Trafford FC club house!  

People are invited down from 7.30 pm with the meeting starting promptly at 8.00 pm. There will also be a 'pub quiz' at 9.00 pm with prizes galore to be won and an entry fee of only £2 per person!
We would love it if all supporters could come down and sign up to become a member and give us your opinions. During the meeting we will go through our plans, aims and benefits of joining the supporters' club... but this really is your chance to become part of the club and help it achieve success both on and off the pitch!

There is a small but very reasonable membership fee, so bring some extra pennies. All proceeds go towards improving Trafford FC! So please, please, please come down, have a laugh, have a chat, sign up and get involved. If you just want to come down for the quiz then that is ace, everybody is welcome!

Welcome to Trafford FC's Supporters Club Blog!

Firstly, welcome to you all. 
After the amazing success of our beloved club, both on and off the pitch, it was agreed at the recent open meeting that we would set up a new supporters' club... and here it is in the form of a BLOG! Here we will post any ideas, supporters'/club news, opinions, views, supporters' man of the match and there will also be a forum (coming soon) for all fans to view and express YOUR opinion(s).

We will also be setting up our own YouTube channel where you can watch match highlights!

The supporters' club has the full backing of the club and we will be liaising together to help Trafford FC in any way we can, but it is run by the supporters' so we would appreciate all your support!

Last season was fantastic and the support was even better, but we want to kick on now and improve ALL areas of the club. Your local club NEEDS you...
