Player of the Month - Novemeber

First of all, what a fantastic period the last month or two have been for Trafford! Our form has been nothing short of outstanding with a lot of brilliant team performances, particularly away from home.
So a massive well done to all the players and to Tom and his coaching staff.

Now on to the individual accolade of the supporters player of the month award for November and I really don't think this months winner will be a more popular recipient... a massive well done to MARK 'DARBO' DERBYSHIRE!!!!!

Darbo, a local lad who has worked hard and proven to be a right handful won with a huge 89% of the vote. Commiserations to Aaron Burns and Josh Granite who were also nominated. Lets keep up the hard work and the results will surely continue, the talent among the squad is definitely good enough to carry this form on!

Darbo will be presented with his award before our home game on Saturday 10th December.

POTM OCTOBER - ANDY LANGFORD

Before Saturdays home game against Scarborough, Nick Brown (Trafford supporter) presented Andy Langford with his player of the month award for October.  We'll done to Andy and all the lads. There has been a noticeable improvement these last few games (since the 3 nil loss at home to Bamber Bridge). Let's hope for more of the same and a real push up that league.

Josh Granite: 40%

So well done to Andy Langford, who so often seems to go unnoticed but actually does a lot of the ugly work in midfield, on winning this months award. He will be presented with a bottle of wine before Saturday's home game against Scarborough.

September's Player of the Month...

... is Aaron Burns! Well done from all the supporters to Aaron for his fine start to the season which has seen him now pick up the first two player of the month awards and break the Trafford FC goal scoring record with 6 (six) goals in a single game.

The final results were as follows:

Aaron Burns - 46%
Andy Langford - 34%
Mark Derbyshire - 20%

Aaron will be presented with his bottle of fizz at the next home game on Saturday 15th. Commiserations to both Andy Langford, who has filled in superbly at centre back over the last few games and Mark 'Darbo' Derbyshire who had a cracking start to September which included a hat-trick in the FA Cup!

Good luck to all the lads and management for October and lets hope for a big push in the league and FA Trophy.

Today's Game and PLAYER OF THE MONTH

In some sort of hoodoo, the two contenders for August's player of the month (Aaron Burns and Kingsley Willams) were both injured for today's game... Spooky! After a very scrappy 20-25 minutes, Trafford reacted positively to going a goal behind by deservedly beating a solid Cheadle outfit. Trafford were by no means firing on all cylinders but in the end we did enough to ease through. Mainly thanks to the excellent finishing of crowd favourite,  Mark Derbyshire.

Whilst pleased with the result, the home faithful (and I'm sure players alike) are still hopeful of greater performances in games to come, especially once we have Aaron and Kingsley available again. As a club, we eagerly await the draw for the next round of the FA Cup and are glad that our dream of a Warrington-esque run into the 'proper' rounds is still alive!

Before today's game, Aaron Burns was presented with the player of the month award for August, (below), hopefully the lads can kick on and fulfill the expectations of the supporters in carrying the fight for a good cup run and push for the play-offs in the league . Once again, well done to Aaron and good luck for the upcoming games. #TraffordFC #oneclub #giveourall

Your NEW Trafford FC Supporters' TRUST!

Welcome to the Trafford FC Supporters' Trust.

The new Supporters' Trust has evolved from the Trafford FC Supporters' Club.

It has the same principles... supporting and raising funds for Trafford, but the main difference is that it is now FREE and open to anyone who wants to get involved in helping our great club, Trafford FC.

So, if you support Trafford, then you are welcome to be part of the supporters trust and take part in any public votes (such as player of the month awards) as well as fund raising events, ideas and ventures. It is 100% free and provides a platform for your voice to be heard that little bit louder.

If you do have any ideas for fund raising or anything you think might help improve the non-playing side of the football club then get in touch. Remember, we are still a non-profit organisation and any monies raised will go towards Trafford FC in one way or another.

Player of the Month Awards

Each month, the Trust's committee will select up to 3 nominations for the player of the month award. This will then go to a public vote where anyone who wants to vote, can vote. Each winner of the award will be presented with a bottle of wine at a home game by a chosen supporter. This month's nominations are in and it's between Aaron Burns and Kingsley Willams

POTM MARCH

It's been a while since we had a player of the month... Not because there hasn't been any candidates, on the contrary. But due to a stop start set of fixtures from January to mid February and the whole teams performances from the same period, we decided the squad deserved a collective award in the form of some cases of beer!

And if anything, performances have got even better since. One league defeat in 2016 and consistent team selection has seen some outstanding team performances and wins. So choosing the player of the month for March wasn't easy. From back to front we have seen stand out performances but in the end it was decided that the POTM is Trafford FC stalwart; Ooooooh Chrissy Palmer! Well done Chrissy and to all the squad and good luck today where Chris will be presented with his award, which is somewhat unconventional as he is tee-total! 🍪🍪🍪
